Rotary's Historical Action
Rotary has historically supported SAMU (Emergency Medical Service) through medical equipment donations.
Subsequently, Rotary supported CNPTIR (National Center for the Prevention and Treatment of Renal Failure) by contributing to strengthening dialysis capacity.
These actions have resulted in donations of dialysis generators and essential medical equipment.
The Renal Care Medical & Social Center aims to sustainably strengthen national capacities for screening, social dialysis, and family support.
Objectives & Expected Impact
Social dialysis for 500 patients/year
Ensure access to dialysis at reduced cost for vulnerable populations.
20 dialysis generators installation
Equip a modern center with complete and efficient dialysis infrastructure.
Screening and prevention for 10,000 people/year
Early detection and community awareness to reduce the incidence of kidney diseases.
Mobilize 5 billion FCFA over 4 years
Gather necessary funding from public, private, and Rotary partners.
Contribute to nephrology capacity building
Train doctors, nurses, and technicians to improve the quality of renal care.
Timeline & Key Milestones
Phase 1 – Mobilization & Studies
Finalization of technical studies, partner mobilization, organization of Rotary Club Abidjan II Plateaux 40th anniversary gala.
Phase 2 – Construction & Fit-out
Construction of infrastructure and fitting out of care, consultation, and support spaces.
Phase 3 – Equipment & Team Training
Installation of dialysis generators and medical equipment, training of medical and technical staff.
Phase 4 – Public Opening & Service Extension
Center commissioning, welcoming first patients, and progressive extension of prevention and support services.
