Rotary Club Abidjan II Plateaux

Context & Rationale

The renal health challenge in Côte d'Ivoire

  • ≈12,000 new renal failure cases/year
  • 2,000+ people without regular dialysis access
  • concentrated care in Abidjan

Rotary's Historical Action

Rotary has historically supported SAMU (Emergency Medical Service) through medical equipment donations.

Subsequently, Rotary supported CNPTIR (National Center for the Prevention and Treatment of Renal Failure) by contributing to strengthening dialysis capacity.

These actions have resulted in donations of dialysis generators and essential medical equipment.

The Renal Care Medical & Social Center aims to sustainably strengthen national capacities for screening, social dialysis, and family support.
